HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT YOUR PET DREAMS ABOUT?

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT YOUR PET DREAMS ABOUT?

Oddly enough, pets go through the same sleep phases as humans. Or have you not seen your pet make spontaneous movements while sleeping?

It is proven that everything the pet learns is reinforced while it sleeps, which is why puppies dream more than adult pets, since they are processing everything they have learned during the day, new stimuli and experiences.

For all this, puppies have a longer duration in the REM phase (the deepest phase of sleep), than adult pets, which is shorter. And it is curious that the same happens in relation to the size and age of the pet. Adult and larger dogs have a much shorter REM phase than those of a smaller size and age, which is longer.

And although we cannot know exactly what our pets dream about, we could be sure that they do so with the activities they do every day, such as going out for a walk, the emotion they have felt playing something or even new smells or that like them.

Nightmares are also present as it happens to us. For this reason, it is important that you be in a comfortable and safe place so that dreams improve. Similar to what humans would do.

It is important for pets, exercise and good nutrition. You will rest much better if you have a daily exercise time. Dogs, for example, sleep many hours, but it really is not continuously, but they do it between 5 and 20 minutes. Therefore, if the dog has had a good walk, it will have a better chance of resting and dreaming about it, than having a nightmare.
